  • Managed full suite of associated project finance contracts and associated stakeholders through construction, commissioning, testing and operational phases
  • Resolved complexity of an underfunded EPC contractor, including onsite and offsite consequences, and renegotiation of funding terms

ABInbev Combined Heat and Power (CHP) project

Performing key role in the first South African multi-megawatt natural gas-fired turbine delivering all power, steam and hot water required by a flagship brewery

Agent-supplier and OEM manager

Scope

To size, negotiate and manage a supply contract between ABInbev and Solar Turbines for the construction of a 6MW turbine and 30TPH boiler

Site

Rosslyn, Gauteng

Achievements

  • Successfully negotiated contracts for the supply and maintenance of the CHP package
  • Oversaw the design, project management and installation of natural gas piping system for the plant
  • Managed the contracts for the on-time delivery of the plant
  • Managed OEM-client relationship through to full plant output
