Behind the meter, self-funded 100 MW solar PV and 200 MWh BESS project

Achievements

  • Identified suitable land in close proximity to mining operations despite challenging terrain and zoning constraints.
  • Performed load analysis assessments to ensure the solar PV generation and BESS plant outputs considers the mines’ load profile.
  • Assisted in drafting option-to-purchase agreements between our client and another mining entity to allow for the construction of solar PV and BESS on the affected farm portion.
  • Managed complex grid connection approval processes with the aim of securing the necessary CEL.
  • Oversaw public participation processes and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensured compliance with MHSA requirements and onboarding of specialist consultants.
